replied the topic Do you believe in karma? created by Tadakii

Hi @Tadakii

Yes I believe in Karma, and I believe it is now digital and fast.
But, I do not believe that karma will strike the offender himself. I mean, it may do something bad to important people to you if you did something terrible to others. Sometimes it will be in another form you might not expect it to be.
What goes around comes around; What goes up must come down is not your typical mentality and belief in doing something good/bad to others.

However, truth be all told to karma; I guess we should not fear doing bad things because of karma itself.
We should not have the mentality that you will do good only to people because you want them to do good to you; or you might not do bad things to people because you don't want them do bad things to you. Doing good must not expect something in return. People should do good because they wanted to, their conscience tell them to do so; their belief and values appreciates the idea of doing good and living by that creed.

The golden rule (Do unto others what you want others do unto you) is good to live by; however it should not be the sole reason for doing good to others.
The best deeds are the ones that are given with all the heart, unconditionally and expecting nothing in return.

Hope it helps.

replied the topic Where is the safest place to store important files? created by moonlight

Hi @moonlight

I put important files on a box, lock it there, hid it under my bed and leave it there until such time I needed the hard copy.
However, I always have a back-up of my files in my external hard drive and computer as well.
I felt it was secure in there.
I use dropbox also to store important office files and notes.

You can visit it here: https://www.dropbox.com/

Hope it helps!

replied the topic Should men learn to cook? created by nanna

Hi @nanna

Men nowadays should learn how to cook and better be good at it. Why?
Today's generation implies that gender-equality is so relevant. Men are not the only ones who work for the family. Even the female now works for the family. Sometimes only the female works while the men stays at home and take care of the kids.
That makes it handy for men to learn how to cook on those instances.
Also, no offense to the girls nowadays, very few girls now are good at cooking. I don't know why but the best chefs now are almost males.
And perhaps, no male/boy is not a food-lover, so it will be helpful if men knows how to cook for themselves.

I look at men like me who knows how to cook as very responsible and husband material. I admire them. Girls often say that they adore a guy who cooks for them, make them feel they are cared so much.

Hope it helps.

replied the topic Who plays NBA fantasy league?? created by zch098

Hi @zch098

I guess Russell Westbrook will be the best pick of them all.
He will be the leader in almost all category like PPG, APG, RPG; so better draft him out.
Though Durant and Curry will almost certainly be having a high fantasy rating on field goal percentage and efficiency due to the pairing as teammates, Fantasy folks should be drooling at the idea of Westbrook being unleashed on his own for an entire campaign and can even average a triple double.

Some of my other thoughts can be read here below:

How about you?
What are your thoughts?

Hope it helps and happy drafting.

replied the topic The Derrick rose sensation in new york created by Abrii

Hi @Abrii

I am an avid fan of basketball. I play a lot of basketball too. Further, I follow NBA and NBA players in general; especially NBA Superstars.
I believe DRose is still a legit superstar, probably among the top 10-20 in the league right now.

The Knicks roster next season is very promising paper-wise. A back-court combo of Drose and Courtney Lee, plus a pretty strong front-court in Melo, the rookie sensation in Porzingis and Noah at center is a legitimate threat of a starting unit; and a promising bench composed of effective role players headed by B. Jennings - only the "superteam" Golden State Warriors squad in the West can match the star firepower.

Now the question is how far will they go?

I think it all boils down to the health of the starting five, most notably Derrick Rose. A healthy season for DRose alone is a sure top-1-2 seed in the East. I believe it will be all about DRose mental toughness. He is physically back. But the last season in Bulls, I see hesitation and doubt in him. He is no longer the fearless and explosive DRose who won the MVP. We cannot hate or doubt him for that since his knee injuries has taken a toll in him mentally too. But, if he really wants to take Knicks to the next level and surpass Lebron James in the East to clinch an NBA Finals spot, he should be having a mentality like Russell Westbrook, who like him has multiple knee surgeries too. DRose should be back in the MVP conversation if he would just bring back his confidence and explosiveness as well as a better basketball IQ.

If DRose and company will be able to have a good chemistry and a potent offense and defense as a team, which I believe they will under coach Jeff Hornacek; they are a legitimate title contender. I just do hope that they live up to the expectations. If they do, watch out for an NBA Finals Championship Parade in Madison Square Garden come June next year.

Hope it helps.

replied the topic What's your favorite musical movie? created by BTW

Hi @BTW

My favorite movie of all time is the 3 Idiots.
Though it can not be considered a musical movie, I definitely would recommend it to you because of its great musicality and sound track.

3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian coming of age comedy-drama film, which is being starred by Aamir Khan.
It has a very good rating as per Viewer critics, rotten tomatoes and IMDb.

I am an engineer by profession and I can greatly relate to the story line.
It has one of the best musical sound tracks ever that can make you sway and wiggle your body.
One of the most beautiful sound track of the movie is All Izz Well, that teaches us that all is well despite all the challenges, it teaches us to trust our heart and faith in God. Watch the video below.

Another good song in the movie is Zoobie Doobie which is also great.
Watch it here:

Another song is the Give me Some Sunshine that will definitely melt your heart.
Watch it here:

As for the trailer, visit the link below:

The film covers all the basic and important teachings of the society, having romance, comedy, drama and suspense in the plot that is well-implied to viewers.
The most influential quote from the movie which I tend to apply to my professional life as a personal mantra is "Pursue excellence and success will chase you...". To me, that closed the deal as my all time great.

You can view some of the best quotes from the movie here:

replied the topic Is it safe for a single woman to travel alone in Europe? created by ruby

Hi @ruby

Of course. I hear it is a good place to travel especially if you are a single person. Also, there is no security threats there. The place is very safe for tourists and travelers who just want to visit the beauty of the continent. Don't worry about being being single going in there. Who knows you might find your romance there. You gotta be ready about it.

Travelling alone makes you discover something in yourself, makes you trust yourself more, meet new friends and step out of your comfort zone.
Going to places alone, especially when you are single is a must do before settling in. You got to be more independent and responsible to your self having tried travelling on your own.

Hope it helps.

replied the topic To have a peaceful live , dont make a loaned or credit card cos its will make your life stressed created by aira_2016

Hi @aira_2016
Very good point for a financial point of view. It is true that is why I don't have a credit card of my own, nor a bank loan under my belt. Aside from the stress it creates monthly, the interest itself is very much high for us to consider.

Having a credit card readily available also make us become impulsive buyers, falling into the idea of buy now pay later plans; suffer later stuffs.
We tend to embrace the idea of buying stuffs we don't really need having that credit card of our own readily available.

I believe you will be financial independent and financially stable/successful with that king of thinking.
Also, aside from not biting into the credit card or bank loans trap; it will be much better not to put the savings on bank. Savings is very much different than investing. You loss the power of compounding through saving alone, and your money will be left behind by rate of inflation. contrary to what the school teaches us which is save and save. You should invest and invest rather.

Good book that I am gonna recommend to you reading is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
You can download the pdf file of the book in the internet.
I tell you this so that you will have more theories about financial literacy that will surely help you in your financial journey.

Hope it helps and influenced your cause.

replied the topic Does it hurt to get a tattoo? created by kidcrowd

Hi @kidcrowd
Getting a tattoo is like a bite of an ant; sometimes it feel a little bit tingly. It was based on my opinion when I got some ink. Although I admit I just got a henna tattoo (not permanent).
However, others have complained that getting inked is painful.
My own survey to people getting tattoos suggests that getting one should not be painful. Having that kind of pain is a matter of tolerance. Some said that pain depends on the needle and the ink used. Of course high quality ones were not that painful; only tingly.

Different body types and different location of tattoo has different level of pain too. I suggest you try getting a tattoo first as trial. Some body types has allergies to inks; thus they got swollen all over their bodies that just got inked. That one was hell and I bet you wont like getting tattoo allergies as well. It is of note to ask for safety precautions first, have yourself tried and observe body reaction before getting inked.

Hope it helps.

replied the topic What is the benefit to be American? created by yabarsi

Hi @yabarsi
I believe being an American has perks and benefits.
To be a citizen of the world's most polarizing, most powerful and most influential country is everyone's wish.
All opportunities were there, all the security and livelihood are almost given.
Unlike to other countries not under the influence of the USA, there were some fear of terrorism, fear of poverty and shortage of opportunities and the like.

Hope it helps.

replied the topic Mother's Day is coming, what would you give your mother as a gift? created by seven

Hi @seven
I kissed my mother and hug her tight.
I got no material things to give her. Just pure love and gentle care. And I guess that is more than enough for all the mothers out there. Make her feel the love not just on Mother's Day but everyday. Do it same as to your father as well.
Never ever leave them and always try to show them and let them feel your love for them.

Hope it helps.

replied the topic If you were an animal what kind of animal would you want to be? created by seven

Hi @seven
I want to be a phoenix if I'm an animal.
I just like its power. I like the idea of immortality.

"Phoenix is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn.Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. According to some sources, the phoenix dies in a show of flames and combustion, although there are other sources that claim that the legendary bird dies and simply decomposes before being born again". -Wikepedia

How about that?

replied the topic What common thing have you never done? created by bling

Hi @bling

Eating chocolate is very common to everyone. I bet you will name almost everyone who have eaten chocolate. Then I am the exception to that.
I've got this very rare hatred for chocolate, and I never eaten one since I got my own thinking. Never mind when I am still a child, I don't remember that at all. But since I got a decision and thinking of my own, I closed the door for chocolates for myself. I just don't want it. I believe I can live without it, so why should I try it?

Is it weird? Maybe not. If all the foods will be gone and all that's left in the world is chocolate; maybe that is the only time I will have to try one.

Another weird thing which is so very viral and common now is the Pokemon Go Phenomena.
I never had tried it; and never will I ever try it. Even until it is a matter of life and death (Those who does not have a Pokemon will be executed); I will still not try play it. I believe it is just not so cool, not awesome at all. At least to my opinion.

I hope your purpose for the question is served. Hope I helped you one way or another.

replied the topic What is your motto in life? created by alvindgreat

Hi @alvindgreat My motto in life is simple: I'd rather starve and die than work for free.
As we follow excellence in our profession, it is of note that we also demand what we deserve. We are in a practical world so we better think practically. It is said money is the root of all evil, but it is wrong. The love of money is the root of all evil. Don't be mistaken by that. How can we feed our family if we will bargain our service? Anyways, that is just for me.
Hope it helps.

replied the topic How to write rap lyrics? created by seven

Hi @seven
five, six. SEVEN, Eight...You can start with that similar to your username here in euask. Cool, right?

You know what, rap lyrics might not necessarily be rhythmic or good to the ears but it may have a good message, or it might not have a good message but is good to the ears.
The power to choose is in your hands to what style do you really want. As long as you can deliver your passion and message to people while sharing your talent and enjoying it. I myself loves the rap genre. You may wanna see me head-banging and mouth-salivating trying to live up to the rap song.
But, good rap lyrics could be the first one: it should have a good message but not necessarily rhythmic and good to the ears. Starting up a rap songwriter usually starts free-style. Write what you have in mind. Anything. Feel free about it. Anything that comes to mind. As long as it conveys a good message and a positive appeal to the mass; plus good harmony, it will be acceptable to the people. Try to connect to the people with your music, with your rap lyrics. Remember that people tends to love anything as long as they are connected to it.

Hope it helps.
