replied the topic How do you manage your Windows desktop? created by timeis

I keep all of my most important shortcuts on my desktop itself, and move the ones I rarely used to a folder on my desktop titled "Seldom-Used Programs". If I need to use one of the seldom-used shortcuts, all I have to do is click on the folder and then click the shortcut.

Because when those scenes were being shot, George Reeves knew that the guns were firing blanks and the shots were therefore harmless, while it would actually hurt if a gun was thrown at him and hit him.

"Jurassic World". 2015 was the year of the franchise renewals, with the Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Terminator, and even Tremors franchises getting new sequels intended to breath fresh life into the franchise. But out of all of those, I feel that "Jurassic World" had the best mix of old and new to revitalize the franchise and bring it in a new direction without trampling on the original.

Honorable mentions: "Ant-Man", "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", and "The Martian".

"Metropolis" (1927). It's breathtakingly beautiful on a visual level, and although the story is simple, it's very nuanced and moving. It's a timeless parable about the need for people of all social classes to learn to get along and neither extort nor wreak revenge on each other. The Gottfried Huppertz musical score adds another layer of emotion and splendor, and the special effect hold up amazingly well for a movie made in the 1920s.

Yes. The movie "My Dog Skip" had me blubbering like a baby at the end. I thought that Skip was going to die, and he didn't, but what happened next was maybe sadder in a way. The idea of Skip living a lonely life for years without seeing his master and best friend was heartbreaking.

Fiction writing. I can currently write very well when the inspiration strikes me, then I lose steam and I don't finish my novel. I'd like to be able to be skilled and inspired enough to finish writing a whole novel in one year.

Spike Jones and his City Slickers. They did hilarious parodies of hundreds of songs.

"The Tennessee Waltz". I especially like the versions recorded by Patti Page and Connie Francis.
