replied the topic How do you earn online by using apps on cell phone? created by Teresita 101 days ago

Hi @Teresita

Yes, let's make it simple and not in deep technical. So it is easy to understand.

Basis at which apps tested.

the testing app has 2 main components.

1) GUI testing: Where the graphical user interface breaks

2) functional testing: Where the function or operation breaks.

Functional testing has two main things

(1) where the logic goes wrong. Like form not getting submitted. Sometimes working but against business rules.

Eg: Rule prevents refund of paid amount. But app gives refund by mistake.

(2)Where the code goes wrong. This part is technical you will need to check error and logs. See below mentioned article.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3378550/android-crash-reporting-library-pre-froyo

ANY APP COMPANY WILL REQUIRE TO FIND BUGS AND FIX THE BEFORE RELEASE.

THEY TRY TO PUSH THEIR PRODUCT IN MASS QUANTITY SO THEY TEST & FIND BUGS MORE. THEY ALSO PAYS YOU GOOD.

BUT THIS MONEY ALSO CARRY RISK LIKE DATA LOSE, ETC.

(1)So you have to back up your date before you start.

(2)If you learn how to format and reinstall android, will help you find more bugs.

(3)It is advisable to install test app old phones.

For advance testers, refer the below article.

replied the topic In pricing an eBook, what is the best price to sell it on Amazon? created by Teresita 117 days ago

Hi @Teresita

It depends on the topic, number of pages and economic position of majority target buyers.

Topic, If you have to spend to research on topic high. Then you can't set low price. But the cost of research is low you can compromise some price to make it comparative.

Number of pages, The number of pages with mode details justify the price. If a book of 300 to 400 page prices around 10 to 15 $ justifiable.

Economic position of target buyer, It is a major factor. If you are selling a ebook for 15$ and targeting people in India(like me); it will become too expensive(15 * 64 bugs) for them. They may not buy because of lack of confidence.

replied the topic How to disable notification for complain mode's profile violation notification? created by Aravi 117 days ago

HI @ha14

Thanks I will try firejail too. The final resolution for the aa-notify is that it is a nonsense. You will be disturbed a log in desktop. It is more better to view the last few 100 lines when you have any issue.

replied the topic How to disable notification for complain mode's profile violation notification? created by Aravi 118 days ago

hi @ha14

find final solution.

1) samba/msg.lock is known issue and reported bug to smb team. So no way to fix it. Also samba should be with user level privilege. So re-installation will not help.

2) currently aa-notify don't offers ignore message option.

the possible solution is either remove the samba profile from apparmor. Or remove the notification service.

I just wasted full day behind this. sorry to waste your time too. I will check with possible security risk and decide which one to keep.

replied the topic How to disable notification for complain mode's profile violation notification? created by Aravi 118 days ago

@ha14
Friend, just I found the exact problem. Currently samba services are running in user level. This is the problem because the folder /run/samba/msg.lock is owned by root. It is privilege issue.

replied the topic How to disable notification for complain mode's profile violation notification? created by Aravi 118 days ago

Hi @ha14

Let us understand what it is. In linux os, apparmor just similar to windows defender. It is mandatory access control (MAC).

smbd is related to remote access service which supports windows machine. So I don't want smbd profile out of apparmor. complain mode's logs are minimum required to track.

Apart from apparmor (which is MAC) their is a optional tool called apparmor notification (aa-notify) (notification service for apparmor).

My major concern is that I want to disable its message for complain mode's violation report.

I can't afford to disable apparmor notification completely. Because, in case of blocking, I will land in problem. As I am a new Linux user.

replied the topic Is it possible to sharpen the photo? created by ChessKing 122 days ago

Hi @ChessKing

For question 1) A photo that took from a camera, never can be sharpen then the originally it is. We actually reduce or modify it other property to make it look more sharp.

For question 2) as told above Pixlr is a very good online editor. You may also try some professional tools like GIMP, Photoshop, etc.

replied the topic Enter the BIOS or CMOS setup created by a454545 145 days ago

Hi @a454545

Entering bios setup is depend on your bios manufacture. I agree with @ha14.

But if you are using modern operating system like windows 10 your bios access will be locked by operating system. You have to enable the same.
