MotherBoard and CPU for £200 ($250) Reward $140
Created by HatsuneMiku, 57 days ago, 689 views

Heya everyone

so I'm getting paid on Monday and planning to get my computer running again

I need a CPU and motherboard

I have £200 to spend ($250)

what would be best?

I would Rather AMD but if you know an intel CPU that is as cheap and as powerful as an AMD one then I'm open to it

was thinking along the lines of FX 8000 series?

although I definitely don't want an A series... I have a powerful graphics card I don't need an APU lol

If you just want to game on your PC then just go for the Intel Pentium g4560 . Which is the most bang for your buck cpu . It's cheaper then fx8000 serise and high performance . =
For mother board you must buy b250 motherboard from this link you can choose any one =

You also have to buy some ddr4 2400mhz ram 8gb will be enough.

All things can be bought under 200 Euro.

Review for g4560 =

thanks but...on paper, the G4560 is much less powerful then the FX8370...and having to buy DDR4 RAM too is not something I'm willing to invest in yet as just last month I bought a 32GB of DDR3 kit

For most everyday function and general purpose gaming I would suggest an Intel(Like this one in your price range If you plan on overclocking or doing a lot of multithreaded tasks, which may include gaming as well go for the FX 8370. I think either CPU is a good choice. Keep in mind the Intel will be nicer to your electric bill also.

hello @HatsuneMiku
i want to know you current parts and what you are willing to do (your plan)
i will recommend you Fx8370 as you already have the ram . but mark my words you will be better buying an Intel i5 if not pentium in terms of overall performance and specially in gaming department intels are better .
secondly if you are just casual gamer and more on editing tasks then you can buy from Amd side .
but please let me know what you want to do with your pc ( main Usage )

Maybe I shoulda stated my plan xD

So I currently have an FX 9590 and a gigabyte board I forgot the model, they are both broken

I have a R9 390x OC edition graphics card, 32GB of DDR3 ram and 500GB of SSD storage

I need it working so I just want a cheap CPU and motherboard that will make it work again and then ima save up for a few months and buy the best Ryzen profile the best board to go with it and the best RAM

But for now I just want a good AMD CPU and a decent board

Intel I'm kinda turning my nose up at cos I'll be honest I'm team red part of me doesn't want an Intel and the ones you a keep suggesting are less powerful then the FX... Also I don't know much at all about Intel so I'd much rather an AMD CPU... Unless you can find me one that on paper is more powerful the the FX alternative, I have good cooling and a good PSU and I don't pay the electric bill so I can run pretty much anything

Yes @HatsuneMiku
9590 really heats quickly. If you ignore good heat sink your mother board will get damaged.

1 liquid cooler fan +2 normal cooling fan is need to be placed in your cabinet.
