Open with WinRar
Find the folder and click to add to the archive.
Then select the file and click File. Next, set the default password. That's all.

Use this below, I use it daily to keep my online business work files hidden that contains customers personal info etc

Download "My Lockbox"

it is 100% free, there is a pro version if you wish to lock multiple folders, but a way around this is to create one folder that you wish to lock (becomes invisible to everyone including you, until you open my lockbox program in start up menu and enter your password you created), you then put multiple folders (unlimited folders) in that one you locked and you can remove or add to as many as you like, providing you keep everything inside that one main lockable folder, so create your category folders in that, everything you put inside that one folder, be it another 1 folder or 100, they too become hidden until password is entered.

Just a heads up, when using on PC it is safe, you can also use it for plug in USB HDD drives, but these will only be protected on your PC, if you plug the USB HDD in another computer, any user can access the files, so best to do this within your PC only, if they are super private.

Hope this helps...
