You can expand virtual memory using "Virtual Memory" in Windows 7. This virtual memory actually uses your hard drive to handle part of the memory usage. Unless you have a solid state hard drive, you will notice some performance issues. Here's how you adjust virtual memory:

Click Start Button
Right click My Computer
Click on Properties
On the left hand side, click Advanced System Settings

A new window will pop up. Make sure the Advanced tab is selected. Click "Settings" under the Performance section.

A new window will pop up, click the Advanced tab.
Now click "Change..." under the virtual memory section on the bottom.
Un-select the checkbox that says "Automatically mange paging file size for drives."
Select your current drive (C:/)
Select the button "Custom Size"
Depending on your disc space, set initial size to 5000 and max to 5500.

Save changes and restart the computer.

Read the PC requirement below to run bluestack...
You must be an Administrator on your PC.
Your PC must have 2GB of RAM/main memory. (Note that having 2GB or more disk space is not a substitute for RAM)
Your PC must have 4GB of disk space available for storing Android apps / games and their data.
The drivers for your PC's graphics drivers should be updated for compatibility with BlueStacks as described in the following post
The App Player is nominally installed in the same drive where Windows is installed, usually C:\. However, during installation, you may choose to have all of the apps/data located on another drive.

We do not recommend installing the BlueStacks App Player if you have a virtual machine, e.g., Microsoft Virtual PC, VMWare Workstation, or Oracle Virtualbox, installed on the same PC.

Please note that BlueStacks is incompatible with BitDefender, you can install any one but not both of them on the same PC.

However for a better performance of your PC you can upgrade your ram virtually, here's how to do it, watch the video below....

How to use a few GB off your HDD as RAM and make your computer faster!

If Windows virtual memory is too low, you can increase it, but there are trade-offs

Click Start > File Explorer. Right-click on This PC, then left-click on Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced tab > Performance. Click Settings :
In the Performance Options window, go to the Virtual memory section, and click Change: By default, the size of the paging file is managed by Windows. Because of this, the first step is to clear the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives checkbox: Now that the options have been unlocked, you can move onto the next step. If you're running out of space on your primary partition, then you can move it to another one (same drive).
Disabling the Paging file Select the primary partition for the list, choose No Paging file, and click Set:Enabling the Paging File
Now that the paging file has been disabled on the first partition, select the one that you want to use, and pick either System managed size or Custom size. System managed size allows Windows to dynamically manage the size of the paging file:Custom size allows you to set the size of the file. Choosing a custom size is tricky — the idea is to limit the Maximum size so that the paging file does not become too big, although it will be limited by the size of the partition size: As a general rule, the maximum size of the paging file must be 1.5x the amount of RAM installed. So, for a PC running on 4 GB of RAM, the maximum size of the swap file will be 1024 x 4 x 1.5 Mb.

Hi @9060311530

Their is 2 way.

Method 1: Virtual memory

Windows 10:

Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.
Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
In the new window, go to the Advanced tab and under the Virtual memory section, click on Change.
At the bottom of the new window, check what the Recommended value is and how it compares to Currently allocated.
If the current setting is significantly less than the recommended, uncheck the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives box at the top of the same windows and then click on Custom size.
Enter the Recommended value in the Initial Size box, and a larger figure in the Maximum size box.
Click OK to save the new settings.

Windows 8 or 7

Step 1: In Windows 8: Go to the Start menu’s Search field or Windows 8’s Search charm and type system. Select System under Control Panel.

Step 1: In WIndows 7: Right click on my computer and go to properties.

Step 2: Click Advanced system settings in the left pane.

Step 3: In the resulting System Properties dialog box’s Advanced tab, click the first Settings button—the one in the Performance box.

Step 4) In the resulting Performance Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
Step 5) In the Virtual memory box, click the Change button.

Step 6) In the resulting Virtual Memory dialog box, uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives. Then select a drive and change settings for that drive.

Select all the driver one by on and set max Virtual memory and click on set.

Click OK to save the new settings.

If computer ask to restart the restart your pc.

Method 2: Ready boost your system

In any Windows Insert a pen driver.

Wait for the auto play pop and click on Ready boost.

Set max and apply and save the setting.

If you don't get auto run option. Then kindly right click on pen drive volume which willl be visible in this computer (If above Win 7)or my computer (If win 7 or lower). Go to property > navigate to Ready boost.

*** Kindly note that ready boost is more better option then virtual memory, this is because pen driver are faster more read and write speed then HDD hard disk.

Increase Your System's Virtual Memory for Large File Compares

Like all applications, UltraCompare uses your system's memory for faster access to data that needs to be accessible while you use the application. But what happens when UltraCompare uses its entire allotment of system memory? That's where virtual memory comes into play.

What is virtual memory, and why is it important?

Virtual memory is basically space on your hard drive that is allocated by your operating system to be used as a supplemental reserve of memory when your an application's RAM limit has been maxed out by that application.

For instance, if you compare two 50 MB files in UltraCompare, obviously this is a very memory-intensive process. Like most PC users, you're ALSO concurrently running UltraEdit, a web browser, an email client, anti-virus, and other utilities...and the memory-intensive large file compare coupled with the RAM usage by these other utilities may exceed your system's available RAM.

In this case, Windows will typically move some of the information stored in RAM over to your hard disk, where there is plenty of free space.

Once a certain internal threshold is reached, your operating system may direct any further memory usage of UltraCompare over to virtual memory so other applications running on your system are not affected by the large amount of memory required for the compare.

If your virtual memory setting is too low and all virtual memory is in use, you may see a warning from Windows like the one to the right.

In such cases, it may be helpful to increase the size of virtual memory on your hard disk. We'll walk through the steps for doing this below.
1. Access System settings

The first step to increasing your virtual memory is locating your system settings area. You can do this very easily by going to Start -> Run, typing sysdm.cpl and then pressing Enter.

Windows XP users should click the Advanced tab. Vista users should click on the Advanced System Settings link on the left, and then click the Advanced tab.

Next, under "Performance" click the Settings button. Finally, click the Advanced tab.
2. Adjust Virtual Memory Setting

You'll now see the "Virtual Memory" section at the bottom of this dialog. You should see a value following "Total paging file size for all drives" - this is the size in MB of your system's virtual memory.

To increase your virtual memory, click the Change button.

In the ensuing dialog are some options for changing your system's virtual memory. You'll want to make sure "Custom size" is selected - you can then set the initial (base) size of disk space that Windows will then set aside to be used solely for the purpose of virtual memory. You can change this to match the maximum size, or you can increase both beyond the maximum size.

Microsoft recommends that you set virtual memory to be no less than 1.5 times and no more than 3 times the amount of RAM on your computer. For power PC owners (like most UE/UC users), you likely have at least 2GB of RAM so your virtual memory can be set up to 6,144 MB (6 GB).
