@walker16 , you can eat fruits as well as salads in your meal , they are good for your health and they gives dietry fibers ,purifys blood and rich in antioxydents , which a regular meal can't.
fat , most of the fruits are are not known for making people fat . take dry fruits , cucumbers , watermellons , apples . man you are healthy , every day work is enough to maintain your shape ( if you are not a fast food lover) no extra workout is necessary. eat healthy stay healthy.

Fruits can be distinguished as high, medium and low calories in terms of calories they provide.

Any high calories fruit which is over consumed can cause weight gain.

Excessive eating is what will make you fat. Even if what your eating is fruit. Moderate eating is the key here.
Personally eating fruits is awesome. :)

overeating anything can make you fat. don't worry too much about that. Worry about your diet as a whole. Three servings of carbs a day, three of fruits, four servings of veggies, four servings of meat. Space them out every two hours, and you will lose weight.

@walker16 Yes, its OK but if done under supervision. I'd say goto a dietician first and get things checked up that if your body can manage being a fruitarian & also get a diet made especially for this. We don't want you getting sick. :)
P.S Steve Jobs from Apple was also a fruitarian.

Some fruits llike the avocado are famous when the point it is about to gain weigth and the raisins too, the point is try to eat this kind of fruit in the rigth way.

This is why eat in moderation term is used, pretty much everything can make you fat if you eat alot of certain things, some you will need more than something that is already high in fat, people read the contents and noticed fat is 0% but will also contain sugar, sugar is fattening which people tend to forget, most items have sugar even if the product says fat free.

Coca-Cola is a good example, nearly most of it is sugar yet it says that fat level is 0, they should note that near the sugar level instead of it's own listing as fat free which is technically incorrect.

One bag of chips may = 15 pieces of fruit just for argument sake so again it is all about moderation, very very few products are in fact fat free regardless of the label.

I think all companies use some stupid government policy guidelines of core ingredients which will be fat free but rule out other fattening ingredients like sugar. So basically all ingredient labels are wrong, even if it says the fattening level because it will not take in other important levels.

Not to say fruit is bad for you, obviously fruit much like vegetables is good for you but like anything even plain water you can still have too much, they say anything over 2 litres of water is considered too much but we still need to drink it, like sugar, technically sugar is bad for you yet our body still needs it, it is also recommended to once in a while to eat chocolate, but not overboard.

@walker16 fruitarian are those people who's diet mainly consist of fruits. It's not easy to be a fruitarian. But having 75% of your daily intake as fruits would still pass you as a fruitarian.

That is correct yes, nothing wrong with eating some bad food as long as your not over doing it, which in turn can be too much even with the healthiest of food products,

People seem to think they have stop all bad foods basically cold turkey and never eat them again, just don't have as much or for junk food grab a small meal, and add an extra healthy item with it, or wait a bit longer for your next feed and have a light drink in between to fill in the hunger.
